Everything Is Coming Together

I had an awesome weekend.
Saturday morning I got up early for my monthly Ladies Prayer Breakfast and then in the afternoon, my husband, daughter and I headed into the city to a local shelter where we have been going since last year to feed the homeless. We try to do this with my church every six weeks. It's called Church In The City. I love giving back.  Apparently, Saturday's trip to The Good Neighbors Club where we've been feeding the homeless will be our last. We haven't stopped volunteering, we've just graduated to a bigger and better site that I can't wait to see. The Good Neighbors Club was pretty small, seating about 60. Now, I'm told we should be able to seat about 100! Oh Boy! Can't wait.

Oh....and I hit the pavement today!  I sure did.
I woke up about 5:30am and after dragging myself out of bed I took to the couch for about 10 minutes. The rabbits upstairs were asleep so it was pretty quiet this morning. lol  Laying there, my mind started thinking about my usual routine. Up early, at work by 7:30am to hit the treadmill at the office gym and then back at my desk by 9am to start my day. Then I started thinking.....I can probably go for a run outside and still make it back in time to get ready for work. Hmmm? But, it was dark outside still even though it was 13Celsius. Yet, my 10k is this coming Sunday.  So, I stayed laying down there for a few more minutes before I made a definite decision and hopped up..."I'm going for a run!"  I knew I wouldn't have time to do a 10k but a 5k would certainly work as a start. I quietly made my way back into my room to grab some running gear which included a bright ass orange running shirt that I got when I did my very first 5k - The Toronto Women's Run. Yup - I was making sure that I was gonna be seen running outside before the sun came up. lol  It was a pretty good run.  The street was well lit and I decided against my usual route that took me onto a wooded trail. I stayed on the main roads. End result - 3.17mile run. Not bad at all. I slowed down toward the end because I ended up running up an incline that made me hella tired.  But not bad at all.

I might do it again tomorrow.  I think my husband might like that.  After all, I didn't wake him up to go with me today. Made no sense to do that in my mind. He was sleeping. But, when I walked in the house he was wide awake. He had been looking for me after he noticed that my stuff was still hanging around and I wasn't far. He had thought I just went out to the car or something, but I didn't return. lol  Nope...I was doing my thing!! hahaha  After all, running on the pavement is much different from running on the treadmill. So, I was trying to put in some pavement hours and the weather today was incredible right from the early morning hours.  He was disappointed though.  He said that he's been patiently waiting to run with me while I've been keeping in mind that my running with him will be holding him back because he is training for a Marathon and I'm only at 10k. Nevertheless, he wants to run me. So, I'm gonna try this again tomorrow morning. That's the plan. lol

Hey, I even made good use of my 30 minute lunch today. Sure did. Went for a 1.74mile walk and burned off 210 calories. At least that's according to the Map My Run App that I use on my iPhone. lol It made the way for a 240 calorie Caramilk chocolate bar that I had a craving for. :)  There is a diet on the horizon though. Already picked up my supply of turkey sausages and sweet potatoes this weekend. Trust me on that one.  Remember when I was talking about the Weight Exchange? Well, my daughter came to my room this weekend to show me that she had split a pair of her jeans when putting them on.  Bahahahahaha
Yup...she's gaining weight too! If I could get her to run with me for Another Run that would be soo awesome. In the meantime, we'll diet together. lol  Furman can continue to lose weight and maintain his hottness. Hahahaha....I'm slippin! She looks good though. She is young so she is just looking more like an athlete anyways.  Just goes to show...life is good! Everybody is happy and healthy! lol

I love having my husband home!
This past weekend too, the three of us seemed to do a bit more bonding which was awesome.  I hope it wasn't because she was grounded and wasn't allowed to go anywhere anyways...lol (Yup, I still maintain control and the ability to ground my teenager. lol  1 day grounding for every 5 minutes late past curfew. Works out great!) But it was nice to have her hang out with us as opposed to in her bedroom even if it was just because she was grounded.  Maybe it had to do with a recent conversation she had about Changes - That's Just The Way It Is.  After all, she could have been in her room. But, it was a beautiful weekend and I'm certainly looking forward to the next one which will prove to be quite busy: Buffalo NY for baton twirling competition on Saturday and then the 10k on Sunday!  Woo Hoo.  I think I can, I think I can!

We'll see.  Everything is coming together!

Changes - That's Just The Way It Is

Have you ever seen this movie?
STEP-FATHER

Gee....my kids are so lucky they don't have one of those. lol

Nevertheless, adjustment to having another body in the house is proving to be a bit of a challenge. Who said it would be easy? Oh..Nobody. lol I'm not sure what I expected. Who am I to think that everything would be easy peasy? lol  Even though my husband is an awesome man. The most awesomest (haha) man that I have ever been with. God saved the best for last. However, being awesome doesn't mean anything when the easy going shine from visits wears off and the harsh reality sets in that things will never be as they used to be. This is no longer a visit where everyone is on their best behavior.  While I would say that I have some awesome kids too (most of the time), I will admit that they have some terrible habits. I completely take the blame for that. And boy are some habits hard to break.  lol  So, the realization that this adjustment is proving more challenging than I thought it would be, has sent me right to Google.  At times I'm feeling a bit frustrated, in the middle and mad at myself for expecting anything different in terms of us all getting used to CHANGE. lol After all, I have a teenage girl and a young adult son.  I know it's so much easier when the kids are smaller instead of when they are older and set in their ways.  And I know...Patience is a Virtue!

Now don't get me wrong...we aren't going through big issues with screaming matches and major attitudes or anything like that. lol  We are a family that communicates and not like that in the least. So, I know its a bit tough because I was told...and I can see it. I take pride in the fact that I can communicate with my children. In fact, it became a bit of a joke when I was taking care of someone else's unruly child for several months a few years ago. She got used to my Lectures real quick. hahahaha  No yelling or hitting or anything like that. We talk...about how I feel, how you feel, why, what needs to be done to change, commitments to make changes. lol Geez, a friend of mine always told me that I needed to change my parenting style and be more of a foot in the ass kind of parent. lol Sometimes....I think he is right. I can see that now. Maybe then, there  wouldn't be some of the habits that I am trying to break my kids of now. lol  Thanks to my husband, I've changed many of my own habits. I love him so much for how he has enhanced our lives. The kids might not see it yet...lol But I do!

I can write about it because really and truly, what we are going through is no different from what many others have had to deal with and what others in a similar situation will have to deal with in the future.  It's normal.  Boy oh Boy is it ever!!  My kids are used to a single mom. My husband is used to not having kids, being in his own country, being a single man, etc. lol  So yeah...it's going to take some getting used to, for everyone. The kids need to realize that they are not losing a mom, but they are gaining a dad - just like my mom gained a son and didn't lose a daughter.  But you know what....I've got God on my side too....so this is nothing that some continuous prayer and hard work can't take care of. And PATIENCE! Not to mention the abundance of love for all parties involved.  And, it helps that I got my degree studying Psychology and Sociology....lol

An awesome article I came across is Why Step Relationships Aren't Easy.  I get it!

Contrary to my daughter's belief though, I understand going through a change like this. I've gone through something similar yet different when I was younger. Having bounced around from home to home, I've had to get used to a different set of rules and different family dynamics on a few occasions. I got through it though.    Maybe we all need to sit down and watch this movie Step Father together...lol  Hmmm.....I might put that on my todo list for family entertainment. lol That, along with watching several episodes of The Worlds Strictest Parents.  Oh yeah....I'd love my daughter to see that I'm not as strict as she might think. hahahaha  Love this show! At the same time, I praise God that my daughter isn't like the kids on these shows. lol Yup...I've done a pretty decent job with my kids if I must say so myself. But, I can kick myself for not being perhaps a bit more strict in certain areas.

Changes - That's just the way it is. Things'll never be the same.  And I'm so happy for that because things are soo much better. It may be a bit tough, but it is worth it.  God is good.

We've taken that "next exit" towards some positive changes and there is no turning back.
The future is so much brighter on this road.

Well....I gotta get back to my happy family. I love them sooo much.  Just got back from my Ladies Prayer Breakfast and now we are off as a family to go feed the homeless at a shelter in downtown Toronto with my church.  Something I always love to do. An awesome reminder of how fortunate we all are and a reminder to those less fortunate that people care. We care.  Did I mention that I have an awesome family? I am the luckiest person in the world.  Changes not needed there!

I love you Furman. I love my children.  Thank you all so much for being such a blessing in my life. Thank you to my husband for becoming a part of  my family. Thanks to everyone for having patience during this time of transition.  (Gee..I almost sound like I am giving an acceptance speech..haha) In that case....I'll thank God first!!

Another Run?

Gee.....I haven't even conquered my first 10k for the season yet and I am already contemplating registration for another run.  Am I losing it? lol I must be. Or in the opinion of selected others...I lost it a long time ago. hahaha But what am I saying?  I'm already registered for the Spartan Sprint in June and the Oasis Zoo Run in September to go along with the Toronto Yonge St 10k. What's another? Right?

Anyways...I've come across another run in my area that sounds interesting and seems to be fairly new. Starbucks Run for Women  Up and coming in Vancouver and Calgary too.  It's on May 12th for my location which is 3 wks after my first 10k. Wow....can't believe the Toronto Yonge St 10k is next weekend. Woo Hoo.  But i'm seriously considering registering for this Women's 10k. I checked out the Bling...cause you know that it's all about the Bling....and my oh my....different!  Instead of a standard medal, they are offering all 5 and 10k finishers a Bracelet. "Live, Laugh, Run"  I assume it is not the typical cheapy cheap bracelet that will turn green in a few weeks but I also don't expect it to be real Gold or Silver. It's a Foxy Original! Not that that means anything to me. lol But, I did look them up. Love Google!

A bracelet!! Wouldn't be too useful for Furman though. lol I know it's a Women's Run but I found out after my first Women's Run, Toronto Women's Run (the first 5k I ever ran for which they never offered bling..before I learned about Bling) that Furman could have actually run the race too. There were a few men in the crowd. But this one....for a bracelet?  lmao  Naw...I better do this one without him.  I don't think there will be any men running in this one.  Starbucks Women's Run....he'll have to skip this one if I do it.

I know that he is running the Toronto Yonge St 10k with me. He didn't tell me, I found out by accident. lol I'm positive he was trying to surprise me but I spoiled this one. I was checking my confirmed registration on the website and when I pulled up my last name it gave me a list of all others with the same. Low and behold...there was my husband's name. Awe...the joy of being married and sharing the same name...lol That wouldn't have happened before. What are the chances of that?  hahahaha

On that note, I've created the public event on Facebook for my reminder and I'm trying to solicit others to run too. Typical response...Good luck with that! lol
  • I can find people that will crack up at the thought of doing it.
  • I can find a few that might even express interest to do it and that's about it.
  • But, to find someone that is serious and actually register to do it? Yeah...I know one woman that I can actually really count on for that. The one that got me started in this whole running thing. lol Anyone else is hopeful.

At this point though...the one I can usually count on says she is interested but she wants to do the 5k which sucks because I have moved onto 10ks. Apparently though, I have a cousin that has expressed interest in possibly doing the 5k also. So do I do the 5k with them if they are serious? I really want to do the 10k. You get the same Bling either way and the registration costs are the same. lol  So....I'm still thinking about what to do, 5 or 10. If my cousin really registers then she can run with my friend who I know will register and I can do the 10k. I'll run alone if I have to.  I'll have to wait and see who I can get interested before I figure out what I am doing. Who will actually register.  I don't want anyone to run alone unless it's me. After all, it's easier to encourage someone to run a 5k than a 10k.

I encouraged my cousin and registered before to support her in her first 5k and my husband registered to do it with us too because he was going to be here on a visit. I had done that 5k before with my daughter (who has no plans on doing one again...lol She can't understand why we would run for fun!  Was harder than she thought.) so I was just doing it again to support my cousin.  Turns out, my cousin didn't end up doing the 5k, although she registered (think she was sick..I don't remember now), and my husband and I did it in the drizzle anyways.  Everything worked out great though because it was the first run that I've ever done with my hubby. We made history. And...to make the memory even more sweeter....that same evening was when he proposed to me!! Yup..he sure did.

Starbucks Run for Women, I don't want anyone I encourage to register and run alone so I gotta wait and see who is doing what. That's ok though, because the registration cost doesn't change until the end of April. Still time to get in it. Yeah...i'm 80% sure i'm gonna do it!! I'm going to approach my daughter anyways and see if she's had a change of heart. Would be nice if I can get a group of us to run together. lol  Would be nice. Then, i'd do the 5k. Did I mention I really want to do the 10k?  lol

Stay tuned.

Canadian Youth Project (CYP)

Stop the Hate! Motivate!Recently I had an opportunity to visit the Headquarters of the Canadian Youth Project - A dream planted and being nurtured by someone dear to me, Coach Grant. Many people have had desires in their heart to help "At Risk" Youth, especially in most recent years with media focus on bullying and it's effects.  Coach Grant has had this Dream for many many years and after much prayer has finally been put in a position to make it a reality. He has come full circle returning to the Alexander Park Projects where he had grown up after 30 years removed from living in the city of Toronto. Full Circle! Where he is now working diligently, “Giving youth the skills to take control of their lives and help ensure a positive and productive future.”
                                                                                                                     Their message!

It pleases me to be in a position to watch his dream become a reality.  You see, this awesome man is my Uncle. One of my mother's 13 siblings.  He served in the Canadian Military for 10 yrs and used his extensive  background in the military, martial arts, unarmed combat, physical fitness, leadership and boxing to coach boxing following his release. He once opened and operated Grant's Boxing Academy many years ago in Windsor Ontario where many champions got their start.  The CYP website includes a heartwarming testimonial, among those of others, by Andrew Singh Kooner, a Canadian Bantamweight Champion that Coach Grant took under his wing at a crucial time in Andrew's life - the age of 13!.  As Andrew noted in his testimonial, Coach Grant was not only his boxing coach, but his life coach. As a result, Andrew did not fall through the cracks. In fact, he took the skills he was taught by Coach Grant and went on to become an awesome person and a great Canadian Champion. I've even had the honor of watching a few of his matches. With tremendous hard work, he had the opportunity to fight in the Olympics with Coach Grant by his side.  From an "At Risk" youth to an Olympian....I'm sure he never imagined!!

“His primary goal in life is to not only be an exceptional role model to these youth at risk, but to show them life skills that worked for him, and give them desperately needed alternatives.”

This is what Coach Grant has been doing for many years already and is what Coach Grant wants to continue to do but in a bigger forum so he can reach more youth. His areas of focus are the Mind, Body and Spirit. Love it!!! I think that covers everything. On my recent visit to the CYP Office, it was awesome to see Coach Grant's passion as he showed us his facility and shared a bit about his dream with us.  He can't do it alone though. This much is evident.  To serve more youth he needs more but definitely not more passion.  He needs a circle of people he can trust and count on, people that mimic his passion and whose focus is not on themselves and their own agendas but on the youth that need to be served. The youth that are desperate for mentors and positive role models who will teach them discipline, helping them with their self esteem and, well - the Canadian Youth Project.  The Canadian Youth Project represents an innovative approach to dealing with aggressive behaviour by fostering a higher level of health and wellness while raising the level of self esteem of our clients.  Prayers are always welcomed along with everyone's support. Please check out their website for more information on how they plan to offset the trend of violence that today's youth are embracing. You can contact Coach Grant via the CYP Website or even through CYP - Facebook.  See poster below.  Share the news about the Canadian Youth Project with others so that they can tell two friends, and they can tell two friends....you know how it goes.  You will be hearing more about them, the CYP and the youth whose lives have been impacted by what the CYP is bringing to them...because they are only getting started!!

If you happen to read this blog dear Uncle, please know how much I love you and what you are doing. Very inspiring. "For nothing is impossible with God" Luke 1:37

Love this Mural outside the Canadian Youth Project headquarters.  "The value of life is not measured by the length of days but by how you make use of them".  So true and great words for the youth of the projects where this mural is painted to remember.

Going Backwards!!

Update April 2nd, 2012

Assessment of Person Being Sponsored (applicant)

(The Call Centre does not have processing times for step 2)

75 days

(working on applications received on January 18, 2012)

Can someone please tell me how we are going backwards?  Ugh.
For the last few weeks the update has been that they are working on applications received January 25th. The last couple of weeks! So now...how are we up to 75 days wait time because they are working on applications received January 18th? THEY ARE GOING BACKWARDS!! I've gotten used to them lying about their update dates because yesterday was not April 2nd....but to change the date of the applications they are working on...i'm not liking that one bit.  They must have found some extra applications dated January 18th sitting under someone's coffee cup. Only way I can explain it.  Oh well....Patience is a virtue.

I've been enjoying vacation at home with hubby.
Today...I FINALLY got on his bike. Our New Addition Rode at a good pace while watching my favorite soap, The Young and the Restless. Watched two episodes that I had taped on the PVR. So, that's almost two hours riding because I always skip through the commercials. lol My husband always knows when I've fallen asleep when watching television together because I have stopped fast forwarding.  haha  I try to convince him otherwise, but it never works. He's out for a run right now. I haven't hit the pavement as planned quite yet. Don't want to hold him back because he is training for a Marathon and I'm only running a 10K. So, I did the bike today.  I did something. The other day my hubby put me through a sample of his bootcamp. lol Did some Tae-bo too. Remember that?  Billy what's his name? I didn't like it. But my husband has some Zumba for us to do also. Haven't done that yet. Maybe that will be more fun. I've never done it before. Either way, i'll be ready for my 10K in three weeks. But, as for the Toronto Spartan Sprint....well, that's where hubby keeps me in his bootcamp to get me ready. If i'm lucky, i'll lose a few pounds and get back to my regular weight. Weight Exchange Funny thing is that I went to visit my mom yesterday and just like an innocent child that says whatever is on their mind, she was quick to point out that I've gained a few pounds. OMG! She had me cracking up. Always gotta comment on the butt! I really don't get it because I've seen some butts and mine definitely doesn't compare. lol
  What was I saying?  hahahaha

I might have to get back on the bike again later to lose a few more calories because I ate quite a bit yesterday. We had an awesome lunch at a Korean BBQ Place called Chako with one of my dearest friends. We definitely want to go back there. The tables had a grill in the center so that you can cook your own food. Seriously.  That's the grill to the right.
This is the ALL YOU CAN EAT food
they bring for you to cook yourself. NO DISCOUNT for doing it yourself. hahaha But it wasn't expensive at all and quite the experience.  Calamari, Fish, Beef, Chicken, Peppers, Zucchini and plus you get Rice, Tofu, Box Choy, Bean Sprouts and something else on the side...might have been sliced turnips. All I know is that it was all awesome.  So yeah....a second round on the bike for maybe a movie or something might be in order.

Anyways...back to my vacation!
The last few days were interrupted with a bit of ridiculousness Not A Grudge - A Choice. But that's me sometimes...wasting my time on stupidness with people not worth the time of day. "I would spend less energy building a house"  hahaha  Had to quote that line from one of the stupid messages sent to me. Some people are a trip and a half, but good laughs.  What can I say, I always hold out hope for the impossible because I know God - BECAUSE HE LIVES! .

On that note...Tomorrow is Good Friday and Good it will be.  God is good all the time, and all the time God is good!  So I want to wish all my readers a Happy Happy Easter in advance. In case I don't get to another post over the holidays.  I LOVE YOU ALL. Can you imagine a world where we would all be the same? OMG! That would be soooo boring. hahaha

To end today's post I want to share one of my favorite hymns. Something that is sooooo true!!

Not A Grudge - A Choice

I found the need to clarify for someone yesterday via Facebook Inbox message (with an invitation to meet in person for further clarity) that just because I choose to no longer have a relationship with them that it doesn't mean that I am holding a grudge and being unforgiving. It doesn't mean that I don't love them.  Many people no longer have relationships with people they love. Sometimes it's called Divorce! They just can't get along. Irreconcilable differences! You no longer LIKE the person you love.  In fact, it took me a while, but I have forgiven those that have previously hurt me which is why I am able to laugh about what has transpired over the last few days. I also hope that anyone that I may have hurt has forgiven me also...including the ones that keep throwing stones at me. If not...they should deal with that. Free themselves. I am! I was able to reach this point by giving it to God and by allowing the happiness brought to me by my husband sop me up like a sponge. Difficulties arise at times, there are moments, because while you may forgive, you can't forget...or like the last few days...you are given a reminder. Then, my husband makes a comment that cracks me up because he is sooo right.  (Can't tell ya what it is though..lol)

LOVE THIS TUNE!!

My big problem was, that after I forgave them, I had a terrible time forgiving myself for allowing them to hurt me in the first place. I have a habit of taking responsibility for things that other people do sometimes that affect me. Drives my kids nuts at times...lol I always rewind several steps back to find a choice that I made or didn't make that brought me to someone else's actions. For example, you allow someone into your heart and they hurt you, so you blame yourself for allowing them into your heart in the first place..instead of blaming them for what they did. lol I know it's not something I should be doing all the time, but I still do it. Working on it.  My husband is a hard ass and an awesome voice of reason....so i'll be fine! He'll set me straight and have me cracking up the whole time.

This post has been recycled on Facebook several times. I "LIKE" it because I can relate.  It's me! I've stopped settling for anything less than I deserve which is why I've let go of relationships that aren't working. Hold onto those that are.

A couple days ago someone I love but don't speak to almost sucked me in to one of those stupid public online exchanges after they posted a comment to this post that could be interpreted as a "dig" at me. I responded as nice as I could (after all, the post wasn't on my page) and then it was followed up with a response that I made sure not to address. Trying to be the bigger person. I'm happy that the page owner pointed out the inappropriateness of taking an uplifting quote to begin an online argument. If I had requested an argument not begin online I can guarantee that I would have been attacked online anyways. But, arguments take two....that's why I didn't respond. Avoid Deja Vu! - Timeline.  Didn't really work!  See below.

So, that's what brought me to the Facebook Inbox message I mentioned at the start. I wanted to make sure the person knew that they were wrong and that I was making a conscious choice to stay away, not holding a grudge. lol Loving from a distance. They always try to make it seem like I am the bad person who is holding a grudge and not being forgiving of others when they are holding a serious grudge and being unforgiving of someone else. The pot calling the kettle black. They want people to believe that they are trying to mend things when they are only being even nastier to draw us even further apart. (If that's even possible) As I said...I asked to meet in person to talk so that written words could not be misinterpreted, etc. But, as history goes the person prefers to write their messages where they can spend time and think of their responses...make sure its a good one. Erase parts that aren't nasty enough...lol  Instead of meeting in person where there can be an intellectual conversation. (If possible) So...they begin an exchange that started out nice and turned nasty clearly because the person doesn't want to meet in person and still has issues. I'm not sure why though. It's funny. I swear it's like a Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde thing. A bit Bi-Polar I was thinking. Bottom line, the person feels safe behind the keyboard as opposed to saying let's have coffee and talk. If only some people knew the stuff that's been written to me. They'd see this person in a whole new light...just like I have. LOL I try not to stoop to their level sometimes....but sometimes I just gotta see if I have it in me. Can I be as hurtful as they are? Hey, i'm human. There was a time when this stuff would have me all upset. Now, it's a joke. Seriously. The contradictions and being hypocritical. The person lives in a glass house and throws stones. It's ok though because they own their house (NOT!) and pay someone else's  their mortgage unlike other family members they claim. Now if that isn't trying to put yourself on a pedestal higher than others I don't know what is. Someone needs to smell themselves..lol

I could never repeat stuff that was written to me because it was too nasty and would probably hurt another person that was also attacked in these same messages. The person they are still holding a grudge against. I save it all though, for good laughs and a reminder. Lest We Forget! So my requests to meet in person before and after they got nasty were rejected (Yup, they said they didn't want to meet in person, again. After saying let's do it. lol) although they keep saying the ball is in my court. Gheez....if I serve the ball to you and you run away with it instead of serving it back....I think i'm in this alone!  lol

At the end of the day, the person blocked me from Facebook. They weren't friends anyways so i'm not heartbroken. It only allows me to continue to live in peace without the drama I can do without. And...it shows me once again that this person JUST AINT READY FOR THIS!!  lol My awesomeness is hard to be around sometimes. Just ask my husband. God threw away the mold when he made me although I see a lot of my mother's awesomeness in myself. Something I can be proud of. I ended my exchange with that person before they blocked me by apologizing for my reciprocated nastiness. That's just me. And, my letting them know that when they grow up that I am still willing to meet IN PERSON to talk. I'm not a violent person. Never have been. Although my thoughts often do some damage...hahahaha God forgive me.  Lord knows that this person could use a good beat down. But...it's not my fight. I'll continue to pray for them and wish them the best. When they grow up, they can laugh at their own nastiness cause like I said...I keep everything. Some people always say to me "You are better than me" lol because of my reactions and actions to things. It's just me though. Always trying to stay focused on why God has us here in the first place and it's not to live without joy and peace. We are to honor God and if I act like this person does I wouldn't be doing that. So, God will deal with me  on my slips. My temporary moments of insanity where I had to throw an insult or two back. Turn the other cheek? Man...my cheeks have been slapped so many times by this person I haven't got much left to turn. lol  So, I had some backbone! Said my peace.....got BLOCKED!

Life is good!

I share my experiences so that others can learn. In this case, when you have an opportunity to meet with someone in person and possibly fix a bad situation, take it...don't throw coals on a burning ember. My post is in no way meant to trash the other person for I love them dearly. I just want others to do better when dealing with broken relationships. I want them to do better. I'm trying to do better.
